Audible Devices - Motion or back-Up Alarms:
Back-up alarms and motion alarms are audio device accessories that produce enough sound so that the noise is heard overtop the sounds produced from the forklift itself.
The sound produced by the audio device should be discernible from other audible devices or sounds from the work environment. The sound must also be different from the other sound or audible devices in the work place. The audible device could employee noise exposure and end up contribute to OSHA noise limitation; thus, care has to be taken.
Hearing protection makes it really harder to hear the audible device and to determine what distance and direction it is coming from. Audible devices can sometimes get deactivated from workers and operators because they can find them really annoying. As well, audible devices could also be objectionable to nearby residents.

Enclosed Operator Cabs: Operator enclosed cabs help to protect the operator from the elements. They use tempered glass in order to prevent injuries. Moreover, these cabs feature an emergency exit via removing the window. The levels of noise are lessened at the operator's ear because of additional sound proofing.
Operator Selectable Performance Modes: The operator could choose the performance need for the specific use. Additionally, it enables a supervisor to set the model's utmost performance for an operator who is just learning. Being able to adjust and lessen the unit's utmost performance enables a new operator to learn the operating features of the machinery in a controlled setting.
Impact Monitor: The impact monitor disables the unit and when this occurs, it needs a supervisor to re-enable and override the unit. This encourages the operator to be certain to manage the machinery in a more controlled way.
Panoramic and Dual Rear View Mirrors: These particular mirrors help to assist the operator in observing the operating space behind the vehicle, and their tail swing area.
