Articulating Booms - Bi-Energy and Electric
The Bi-Energy and Genie DC equipment produced by Terex provide emission-free and quiet operation in the most sensitive work applications. Like for example, in industrial situations where the machinery has to travel significant distances, the Genie bi-energy system combines the benefits and flexibility of a diesel fueled generator utilizing a 48 Volt DC equipment.
Important characteristics which this combination offers is out, up and over positioning capabilities for complete versatility. In addition, the zero tail-swing offered by nearly all units, combined with the tight turning radius offers easy maneuvering through standard doors and narrow aisles.
The proportional and drive controls offer the machine with smooth drive performance and precise boom positioning. For quiet and emission free operation suitable for sensitive environments, there is a 48V DC electric drive system. There are jib boom models on the market to function with an additional working range for particular jobs. On non-jib models, there is a self-leveling platform which rotates to either side at an angle of 90 degrees.
Articulating Booms - Diesel Engine
The Terex Genie is great for industrial applications and outdoor construction applications. This model provides engine-powered articulating Z booms that combine extreme lifting versatility and up, out and over positioning capabilities. The outreach offered by this model is second to none in the market.
Diesel engine machines on nearly all modes have an articulating boom which offers zero tail-swing with a small turning radius. These equipment are ideal in small or narrow locations. Moreover, they offer exceptional torque, grade and terrain maneuverability and utmost power. The diesel engines are generally quiet as well. The majority of models have full time drive positive drive traction system and active oscillating axle to provide great flexibility on surfaces that are uneven and rough.
High ground clearance is provided in 2 or 4 wheel drive models, while the rough terrain models are desirable for any company's fleet. The jib boom models are available and provide extra range capabilities. On non-jib models, the self-leveling platform also rotates to ninety degrees on these models as well.
