Motorized Pallet Truck
The Walkie-Rider, Walkie or Rider is a Motorized Pallet Truck which is essentially a motorized type of a pallet jack. They come in both "Rider" versions and "Walkie" models.
Like what the name implies, the walkie type is designed for the operator to walk alongside with the unit as they move loads. The Rider model however, utilizes a small platform for which the operator stands on. The rider models are ideal for frequent transporting of loads over extended distances in manufacturing applications and warehouses. They are really maneuverable and fast.
It is not recommended to pick up and move tall or unstable loads because there are no safety cages on these models. A rider can be the best answer if you are searching for an inexpensive method for moving loads from point A to point B. If though, you are required to transport heavy loads short distances, and prefer to utilize a more employee-friendly unit rather than a pallet jack, the walkie model might be the best option.
Order Selector
The order picker or order selector is a piece machine made particularly for manual handling of less-than-pallet-load quantities in racking. There are fixed forks connected to a platform in the Man-up design. This particular platform elevates both the operator and the load in an effort to facilitate manual loading and unloading from racking areas.
Order Selectors are typically very narrow aisle vehicles which can function in aisles of less than six feet. They are extremely handy pieces of equipment during cycle counting situations as well as during physical inventories. Order selectors are available in lift heights up to 40 feet high, although models that range in the 20 to 30 foot range are a lot more popular.
