The S-boom telescopic booms by Genie have been equipped with a reach ranging from 9.65 meters and 24.38 meters and an ability to work in heights of 14.20 meters to 40.15 meters. Telescoping booms have a much greater range of reach horizontally than compared to other types of aerial work platforms. Genie telescopic booms are engineered with consideration to being able to access tight areas during industrial and construction applications. They are also known for their ability to rapidly maneuver through a job site with great drive speed and traction. The platform turns 160° hydraulically and could stay level through the whole range. Front-entry platforms are available from 1.83 meters to 2.44 meters and come with 227 kilogram to 272 kilogram capacity for operators and tools. Continuous, 360° rotating turntables offer operators quick, easy positioning.
The Z-135/70 model has a telescoping jib, known as the Jib-Extend, that goes from 3.66 meters to 6.1 meters. This model can also reach 110° vertically to give the user the ability to reach jobs that were inaccessible by typical jibs before. A secondary reverse-articulating boom on the Z-80/60 unit gives the user 8.83 meters of over and up reach. This feature enables over and up reaching jobs to be completed with zero front arm swing.
The Fast Mast System built by Genie allows for time to be saved when both secondary and primary booms platform needs to either be lowered or lifted without needing to lower the secondary boom. The Fast Mast system allows both booms to be elevated fully simultaneously. Both of these features of the Genie Fast Mast system reduces the time needed for users to descend and ascend, increasing efficiency and productivity.
